Privates & Semi-Privates

Privates

Privates provide  individualized expert attention to boost one’s growth in Pilates. Privates are recommended for new clients to familiarize themselves with the method and prepare students with the knowledge of correct form. One will begin with a classically ordered class starting either on the Reformer or the Mat. After the first 30 minutes the class moves to another apparatus station, which could be the Barrels, Towers, Jumpboard, Magic Circles and more. The class is customized to one’s specific body needs and will be designed like a circuit where one can experience different pieces of Pilates apparatus integrated with mat pilates exercises.

Semi-Privates (Duets or Trios)*

Semi-Privates offer a similar experience of individualized attention but without the hefty price. The structure of the semi-private class mirrors that of a private session integrating customized mat and reformer exercises but sharing the experience with one or two other people.  With only 2-3 people in the class, the Pilates instructor can still give individual cues and corrections which definitely improves the results.

Small Group Training

Reformer Pilates Class

Reformer open level and Reformer advanced classes focus on strengthening all parts of the body. The addition of STOTT Pilates equipment to one’s practice can target specific muscle groups to create optimal movement. Pilates will not only benefit one’s core muscles, spinal cord, and posture, but also provide injury prevention and rehabilitation.

Group Yoga & Mat 

Pilates Mat
Pilates Mat classes teach any beginner the principles of Pilates. The classes are small (3-6 people) allowing for maximum attention and dedication to form and posture that will improve body alignment, posture and core strength. Once fundamental Pilates principles are understood in the mind and body, one can proceed to apparatus work.

Jivamutki Yoga
Jivamutki yoga is guided by the principles of the Sanskrit “asana” meaning “seat, connection”, directly focused on the relationship that grounds oneself to the Earth. This class takes a well-rounded approach towards enlightenment through compassion for all beings and for yoga practitioners of all levels. One should take this class if looking to increase strength and flexibility in addition to improving one’s relationships to themselves and the Earth.
